The Renowned Musician Encourages Support to Send Together for Palestine Song to UK Festive Top Spot.

A charity drive is aiming to launch a cultural melody to the peak of the festive singles chart. The project seeks to deliver assistance to people in Gaza while also showcasing Palestinian culture and creativity.

An Opportunity for Support and an "Unlikely Coup"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the single 'Lullaby' represents a moment to show solidarity with Palestinians over the Christmas period. He remarked the potential for an surprise number one.

“It would be incredible if that happened, yes,” he commented. “I wouldn't be completely disappointed if it doesn’t, festive releases are a thing unto themselves.”

Defiant Message of Dignity and Freedom

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who sings on the adaptation of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's resilient spirit.

“The song holds a deeply meaningful spot for many individuals,” Barghouti explained. “The message is that I would rather die in dignity than live a life without freedom. This is the primary message of the song; we want to live a life of dignity that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Recording Origins and Star-Studded Lineup

The track was produced following a major charity concert held in September. First conceived to be captured during the live event, the performance was cut from the show due to time constraints.

The impressive roster of musicians featured on Lullaby includes a group of acclaimed names from the music world. All were part of the earlier concert, which successfully generated a significant sum for charitable causes.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was produced by a trio of talented individuals. The single features a combination of the traditional Arabic lyrics with freshly written English words.

The group managing the initiative have emphasized that their goal is to raise as much as possible for a specific fund. These donations will be distributed to projects in Palestine through an established charity.

“There is no a specific target,” a representative said. “We will pursue whatever we can get. Obviously, the greater the amount, the better. All proceeds are directed out to the people of Gaza.”

The reality in the region was described as its extreme devastation, with a overwhelming percentage of infrastructure reportedly levelled or seriously harmed.

“Against that backdrop, a handful of millions won't make that much difference. But I think what does make a difference is above all spreading knowledge of this plight and demonstrating that another narrative exists.”

The single 'Lullaby' is scheduled for release on Friday. Additionally, a full recording of the solidarity show will be made ready to watch on a major video platform from later in the month.
